Spin is a Gag track that is exclusive to Tooniversal Studios and is the only Gag track in the game that did not originate from Toontown Online. Its main purpose is to provide damage over time to the Cogs for 3-4 rounds. It is the only Gag track that exhibits this property. Spin is the eighth Gag to be used in a Cog battle, right after Drop. Its track color on the Gag menu is white and it is right underneath Drop. It has high accuracy. Gag experience for the Spin track is only gained on the initial use and does not account for the damage over time.

Organic Boost[]

When Spin Gags are planted in a Toon's garden, the organic boost applied to them is similar to that of all the other Gags (with the exception of Lure), where the initial damage is boosted by 10%. There is no change to the damage over time in any way as it is static and does not depend on the initial damage.

Knockback and Combo Damage[]

Spin Gags will also apply knockback damage to lured Cogs. Just like Throw and Squirt, the extra damage will be 50% of the initial damage. If a Spin Gag is used before Lure, the damage over time will not have a knockback bonus and it will not unlure the Cog.

If multiple Spin Gags are used on the same Cog on the same round, they will also receive a combo damage bonus similar to Throw, Squirt, and Drop. The applied bonus damage is +20% of the initial damage. This can also be applied in conjunction with knockback bonus on a lured Cog. If a single Spin Gag is used alongside a Toonado, all Cogs will receive knockback (if they are lured) and combo bonus damage, similar to Throw, Squirt, and Drop.

Stacking[]

If multiple Spin Gags are used on the same Cog, their damages over time will stack with each other. This also applies if two Spin Gags are used on the same Cog on separate rounds. For example, if one Toon uses a Spinning Top on a Cog, that Cog will receive 2 damage per round. If the same or different Toon uses a Fan on the same Cog on the next round, the Cog will receive 18 damage per round, adding their damages together. The damage over time for each Spin Gag will always last 3 (or 4 if it is a Toonado) rounds after it has been used, meaning that the 2 damage provided by a Spinning Top will always end after 3 rounds regardless of another Spin Gag being used before the expiration. There is no combo bonus for stacking damages over time.

SOS Cards and Unite[]

There is currently only one SOS Card with Spin. It is a 3-star Restock Spin card and the SOS Toon is Shirley U. Jest. As the name implies, it restocks the Spin Gags of every Toon in the battle until their Gag inventory is full, similar to the other Restock SOS Cards.

Restock Spin SOS Card

There is also a Unite that restocks the Spin Gags of all Toons in its radius. It has the same effect as the SOS Card.

Gag Combos[]

This list includes Gag combos that can destroy certain Cogs either on the same round by utilizing knockback and combo damage, or by utilizing the damage over time. This also includes single gag uses with the damage over time. This list only uses the maximum non-organic damage of each Gag, but will specify when a Gag needs to be organic for a combo to work. Each Spin Gag does exactly enough initial damage to destory a Cog of the same level. More information in Trivia.

There are many other possible Gag combinations, but these are a few examples:

  • An organic Whirlpool and a normal Whirlpool will destroy a level 10 Cog on the round of use.
    • On the next round, it would destroy a level 11 Cog.
    • After 2 rounds, it would destroy a level 13 Cog.
    • After 3 rounds, it would destroy a level 15 Cog.
    • If the Cog is lured, it will destroy a level 12 on the initial round, then a level 14, then a level 15.
  • Two Merry-Go-Rounds can destory a level 8 Cog with the initial damage.
    • On the next round, it would destroy a level 10 Cog.
    • After 2 rounds, it would destroy a level 11 Cog.
    • After 3 rounds, it would destroy a level 13 Cog.
    • If the Cog is lured, the initial round can destroy a level 10 Cog
      • After 2 rounds, it would destroy a level 11, then a level 12 on the 3rd round.
  • A Fan will destroy a level 5 Cog on the next round.
    • After 2 rounds, it would destroy a level 6 Cog
    • After 3 rounds, it would destroy a level 7 Cog.
    • If the Cog is Lured, it will destroy a level 5 Cog on the initial round.
      • On the following rounds, it would destroy a level 6 Cog, then a level 7 Cog, then a level 8 Cog.
  • An Umbrella will destory a level 4 Cog on the next round.
    • After 2 rounds, it would destory a level 5 Cog.
    • After 3 rounds, it will do just enough damage to destroy a level 6 Cog.
  • A Spinning Top will destroy a level 2 Cog after 3 rounds.
    • If the Cog is lured, it will take 2 rounds to destroy a level 2.
  • Two Spinning Tops will destroy a level 2 Cog on the round of use.
    • After 2 rounds, it would destroy a level 3 Cog.
    • If the Cog is lured, it will destroy a level 3 Cog on the next round, then a level 4 on the 3rd round.
  • A Pinwheel will destroy a level 3 Cog after 3 rounds.
    • If the Cog is lured, it will destroy a level 3 Cog on the next round, then a level 4 on the 3rd round.
  • Two pinwheels will destroy a level 3 Cog on the round of use.
    • On the next round, it would destroy a level 4 Cog.
    • After 3 rounds, it would destroy a level 5 Cog.
    • If the Cog is lured, it will destroy a level 5 Cog on the 2nd round and a level 6 on the 3rd round.
  • A Toonado will destroy level 10 Cogs on the next round.
    • After 2 rounds, it would destroy level 11 Cogs.
    • After 4 rounds, it would destroy level 12 Cogs.
    • If the Cogs are lured, it will destroy level 11s on the initial use, then level 12s after 2 rounds, then level 15s on the 4th round.
  • Two Toonados will destroy level 13 Cogs on the initial round, then level 15 Cogs on the next round.
    • If the Cogs are lured, level 15s will die on the initial round.
  • A Merry-Go-Round and a Whirlpool will destroy a level 7 Cog on the initial round.
    • On the next round, it would destroy a level 9 Cog.
    • After 2 rounds, it would destroy a level 11 Cog.
    • After 3 rounds, it would destroy a level 12 Cog.
    • If the Cog is lured, it will destroy a level 9 Cog on the initial round, a level 10 on the next round, a level 12 after two rounds, and a level 13 on the 3rd round.

Bugs[]

  • If the first shell of a V2.0 Cog is destroyed by the damage over time, all Gags that would have been used on that Cog that round will be skipped. However, if another Spin Gag is used on that Cog on the round it gets skipped, the damage over time provided by it will still be applied even though the Gag was not used.
  • When viewing another Toon's Gag panel, the Spin and Drop tracks have swapped colors where Drop is white and Spin is cyan.

Trivia[]

  • When at max damage (not including organic boost), each Gag does exactly enough initial damage to take out a Cog that is the same level as it (with the exception of Toonado).
    • Spinning Top does just enough initial damage to take out a level 1 Cog.
    • Pinwheel does just enough initial damage to take out a level 2 Cog.
    • Umbrella does just enough initial damage to take out a level 3 Cog.
    • Fan does just enough initial damage to take out a level 4 Cog.
    • Merry-Go-Round does just enough initial damage to take out a level 5 Cog.
    • Whirlpool does just enough initial damage to take out a level 6 Cog.
    • Toonado does just enough initial damage to take out a level 9 Cog.
  • Toonados can sometimes spawn in a playground when it is raining. If the Toonado touches a Toon, they will be thrown into the air. Players who have the weather option turned off will not be be able to see or be affected by playground Toonados, and may occasionally see other Toons get thrown into the air by a Toonado that they cannot see.
    • These Toonados used to deduct a small amount of Laff from any Toon who touched it. This is no longer the case.
  • For a long time, Spin was incomplete despite being fully functional in the live game. The level 3, 4, and 5 Gags did not have animations, so they would use the animation of the Squirt Gag of the same level. Spinning Top and Fan were also not in the game. Instead, a Gag called "Tango Performance" was the level 3 and "Lasso" was the level 4. Umbrella was level 2 and Pinwheel was level 1 at the time. Spin was eventually redone to what it is now.
    • Pinwheel, Umbrella, and Merry-Go-Round also had different textures on the Gag menu during this time. Whirlpool also had a slightly different animation.
  • It can be considered a stronger version of Squirt until it reaches level 6 since it can deal knockback and combo damage, along with having the same accuracy and higher initial damage. It also has the added damage over time. Whirlpool deals less damage than Storm Cloud, however.
  • Technically speaking, as it is used after Drop in battle, Drop can act as a stun to give Spin Gags more accuracy that round. However, Drop has low accuracy and would not be a reliable Gag to stun with. A Toon would be better off using a stun for the Drop, which would retroactively act as a stun for Spin as well, making it redundant.
    • The damage over time provided by Spin does not work as a stun to increase the accuracy of Gags on that round.
  • It is recommended that Toons use Lure on the next round if they plan to destroy the Cogs by using the damage over time. It would prevent the Cog from attacking while still taking damage.
  • Spin currently does not have any Gag training frame poses, so it uses Throw frames as a placeholder, despite the fact that the player would not normally see Throw training frames since Throw is one of the starting Gag tracks. There are no Spin Gags that use the throwing animation.
